Q. When will the SSC MTS exam take place?
The SSC MTS exam will take place in two stages.
Q. Is there any relaxation of age in SSC MTS for the OBC category?
Yes, the allowable age relaxation beyond the upper age limit for OBC is 3 years.
Q. What are the SSC MTS age criteria for various positions?
The age limits for the positions according to the Recruitment Regulations of the different User Departments are:
(i) 18-25 years
(ii) 18-27 years old
NOTE: There will be separate cuts by category, state/UT in the Paper-I. As vacancies for SSC MTS are in two age groups, i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years old and (ii) 18 to 27 years old, the Commission may set separate limits by age group, category, and State/UT on Paper- I
Q. What is the minimum educational qualification for SSC MTS Recruitment 2020-21?
The minimum educational qualification for SSC MTS is passed on a matriculation exam or equivalent from a recognized board.
Q. What is the date to acquire the minimum educational title in the SSC MTS?
Candidates must have acquired the minimum educational qualification that was declared with the official notification of SSC MTS 2022.
Q. What is the SSC MTS exam outline?
The SSC MTS exam will consist of a computer-based exam (Test-I) and a descriptive exam (Test-II)
Q. Are there any changes to the SSC MTS exam pattern?
Yes, before, the total number of points in SSC MTS for Level 1 was 150 for 100 questions. Now the total number of points is 100 for 100 questions.
Q. Is there standardization of scores in the SSC MTS 2022 exam?
The scores obtained by the candidates in Paper-I will be normalized in SSC MTS 2022 by using the formula published by the Commission.
Q. Can I give state preference on the SSC MTS application form?
Yes, candidates must give State/UT preferences, in order of priority, on the online application form.
Q. Can I choose only 3 states as my preference for SSC MTS posts?
Yes, you can choose as many states as you want. Candidates will be considered for selection against vacancies from only those states/UTs for which they have given their preference on the online application form. If a candidate has applied for all States/UTs, they will be considered for vacancies in all States/UTs.
Q. Can I change my state preference after final submission of the SSC MTS application?
The State/UT preference exercised by applicants in the online application form will be considered final and no subsequent change in State/UT preference will be permitted under any circumstances.
Q. Is Exam II qualifying in nature?
Examination II will only be qualifying in nature and is intended to test elementary language skills. However, the marks obtained by the candidates in Test-II will be used to decide the merit in case more than one candidate obtains the same normalized marks in Test-I.
Q. What is the application fee?
The application fee is Rs 100/- (one hundred rupees only).
Q. Who is exempt from paying the application fee?
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-Military (ESM) candidates eligible for booking are exempt from paying the fee.
