NDA-1 Notification 2023

As we know, UPSC conducts the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Competitive examination to recommend qualified candidates for respective training academies. It is to inform you that The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the notification for the 2023 NDA I Examination. All candidates who are interested and eligible for this recruitment exam can apply online from December 21, 2022 to January 10, 2023. For information about eligibility, age limit, syllabus, selection process, salary scale in recruitment, read the notification.

UPSC NDA I 2023 Vacancies

UPSC NDA/NA (I) 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NDA/NA (I) 2023 are as follows:

(a)  Nationality:

A candidate must be unmarried male/female and must be:

 (i) a citizen of India, or

(ii) a subject of Nepal, or

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(b)  Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2004 and not later than 1st July, 2007 are eligible.

(c)  Educational Qualifications:

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 The exam pattern is as follows:

The curriculum includes topics in mathematics, general knowledge, science, and English.

Maths

Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Vector Algebra, Statistics, Probability, Calculus, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry

English
 

Grammar and usage, Vocabulary, Comprehension and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English.

General Ability Test (GAT)

Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events.
