SSC CPO 2023 Physical Test & Medical Test: Get all the details here

The Physical test is the second stage of the selection process. The physical test is further divided into two tests. The first test is the physical endurance test and the second test is the physical standard test. Only candidates who will qualify in the SSC CPO paper I exam will be eligible to appear for the physical test.

SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test (PET) 2023

      The PST (Physical Standard Test) will be conducted once the candidate has completed the PET (Physical Endurance Test).

• Below are the different activities to be performed by the candidates.
• For male candidates
•   · 100 metre race in 16 seconds
•   · 1.6 kms race in 6.5 minutes
•   · Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chances
•   · High Jump: 1.2 metre in 3 chances
•   · Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chances
• For female candidates
•   · 100 metre race in 18 seconds
•   · 800 metre race in 4 minutes
•   · Long Jump: 2.7 metre in 3 chances
•   · High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances

Points to Remember
. There is no minimum requirement for chest measurement for female candidates. 

. PST/ PET will not carry any marks but will be of qualifying/ elimination nature.

. Ex-Servicemen Applying for the posts are not required to undergo PET.

. Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e., height and chest may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the PET/ PST ground.

. The relaxation in physical standards (height/chest) once granted at the time of initial appointment in Delhi Police will hold good till the individual concerned remains in Delhi Police.

SSC CPO Medical Test 2023

All the candidates who qualify in Physical exam will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade-I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. Candidates, who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days. Below you will find the different criteria for the medical test.

• ·    . Candidates minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery.

•  · The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision.
•  · Candidates must be physically and mentally healthy without any defect.

      Finally the selected candidates for the post of sub-inspector must pass seven obstacle tests as part of their training. The following are the obstacles that candidates should be passed and the applicants who do not overcome the obstacles will not be selected.

Tattoo:  Tattoos will be allowed as per following stipulations only:

Content: Tattoo depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are permitted.

Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspects of forearm but only left forearm.

Size: Size must be less than ¼ of the particular part of the body.

Q. What is the height required for the Male and Females candidates belonging to General Category?

=> The height requirement for the male and females candidates belonging to the general category is 170 cm and 157 cm respectively.

Q. What are the various activities for male and females candidates in the Physical Endurance Test? 

=> Running, high jump, long jumps are the different activities that must be performed by the candidates.

Q. What marks are required in the Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for SSC CPO? What is the SSC CPO age limit?

=> The SSC has not established a specific grade. A university degree or its equivalent is sufficient to apply.

Q.  What is the SSC CPO age limit?

=> As per the prescribed eligibility criteria, the SSC CPO age limit is 20 to 25 years as per the date specified by the board in the official notification. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are provided with relaxation on the upper age limit.
